It is impossible to believe, but we have 6 children! We have 3 grown sons: Jim, Jason, and Josh. All 3 are married and have great wives.  I tease them about having “married up!” We also have 3 daughters: Gracie was adoped from India in 2001, and Anna and Rebekah from Haiti in 2006.   Jim is married to Sara, and they have 4 children. Kelly is a certified personal trainer, and they both work for the Greene County Sherriff’s Department in Missouri. Jason and Kelly have one child, Tate, our youngest grandbaby. Josh is married to Stacy, and they are the parents of beautiful Mya Reese Flora. They are also adopting a sibling group from the country of Colombia.  Josh is a high school teacher at Reeds Spring, MO, where he is an assistant girls fast-pitch softball coach and assistant baseball coach. Stacy works for the Branson School system in Special Education.

We are living in the Maluti Mountains of Lesotho, Africa.  We live in Katse Village in the Thaba Tseka district.  We plan to move to Mokhotlong region in at some point.    We will be planting churches in the villages in the mountains.  Many villages are only accesible by 4 wheel drive, foot ,  horseback, and small aircraft.

  11. Hi Teresa…..Wow your life has been so filled with Joy. God has truely blessed you & Jim. I am so proud of you guys. I signed up for your newsletters and surely want to try some of your recipes. I recommitted my life to Christ thru rebaptism in May 2 2010. I grew up Methodist and then converted Catholic but now I have rejoined the Lord with great passion and have turned my life over to HIM. I walk with him daily. I would love to do a mission trip some day. My husband is on the fence of being a believer so I quietly pray that someday he will come to know the Lord like I do. He already is so Generous with people and kind to everyone. But just is not sure about the whole God Jesus thing. W don’t talk about it much ……….I now just pray & try to be a good example of Christs shining light and hope that someday God will bless his heart & save him as he has me. You two are truly a great blessing to where you are and I’m again so very proud. I will be praying for you both. God Bless Myra

  12. Dear Jim and Teresa, Great News, two have committed with Stan to come to work in Feb. We are praying still for your lanuage and for the land to be released and a new location established for you. I praise God for the 250, God is so awesome. We saw the Dials in the video in the hills of Basotho. Know that each of you are in our hearts as we pray. May you find strength for the days ahead, joy for the present, and added faith as you see how God has provided for the past days. As you lift your eyes to the hills, we on the plains are giving thanks for you and God’s presence among the people. Thanks for allowing me to pray for you. Alta

  13. Dear Jim and Teresa,
Just touching base with you to let you know you are in the thoughts and prayers of Selmore Baptist Church. I am the children’s director and teach CastleKids preschool 4s and 5s. We are looking forward to getting to know you better and glad to have the opportunity for our children to connect with yours. Thank you for your faith and reaching out to the people of Basotho. I read your kids are very involved in education so they have their own mission fields where they serve! God is good!

  14. I thought I’d let you know that I e-mailed Sachi after the earthquake and tsunami to see if they were okay. She said their immediate family are all fine, but they have extended family they still have’nt been able to get hold of. The radiation worries probably include where they live, too. She had said earlier that she and Kei planned to come to Springfield this summer. I don’t know if all this will affect their plans.

  15. glad to read your blog. we served in southern africa with many wonderful imb/fmb missionaries who came before you to that area…last time we were there was before the dam was built…have spent many days pony trekking and freezing at meetings!!…keep up the good work and God bless you as you are used in the mountain kingdom!

  16. Hi. I´ve been teaching about your family and ministry at the Vacation Bible School of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church. Two kids said they want to become missionaries when they grow up. Today the kids groups prayed for you. One of the prayers was made by one of those two kids. I told them I´d let you know they were praying for you. God bless you!

  17. I have been praying for the people of Lesotho for the past two weeks, and am now praying for your ministry to them.

  18. Hello Jim and Teresa! It’s been a lot of years, but I hope you remember me from when you were at Bucyrus and I was at Houston FBC. We have so enjoyed following your ministry through VBS and the Lottie Moon Christmas materials. I pastor a wonderful little church in Meadville, a small town in northern MO, not far from Chillicothe if you know where that is. I was wondering what’s the best way to get and/or keep in touch with you. I also wondered if you have any dealings with World Vision, as we recently sponsored a 13-year-old girl from Lesotho. If you are able, please send us a note, and know that we are blessed to see God using you there. Thanks for serving the kingdom! I’m on facebook too. Hope to hear from you soon!
