We go to another village on Saturday morning: Ha Knu Knu. Yep, it’s pronounced “Hock-a-new-new.” I’m preaching. Okay, no comments, please. We have been there once, and it’s a fairly new site for the Basotho Team’s ministry. Next week a team from Texas will be here working with the Dials. We are going up the valley on several hours on horseback to do ministry in a school. Ministry opportunities continue to expand and the Lord continues to open doors here at Katse. I can’t wait to see what the Lord does when we actually get to the Mokhotlong region and we are prepared to minister in the heart language of the Basotho. By the way, in the Mokhotlong region, the people are Basotho, but we have found out that there are many clans within the Basotho. One of them is a “sub-group” known as the Baklokwa (I have no idea if I spelled that right, and I probably didn’t since I spelled it phonetically). Our language instructor says that the Baklokwa are “pagans.” He said they worship their ancestors. Please pray that the Lord will use us to reach the Baklokwa with the gospel. We have a baklokwa chief that the Dials have met and are holding a Bible study in his village. The Morena (the Sesotho word for chief) never misses. When we take our first trip to Mokhotlong, Morena Sekonyela is going with us. Pray he opens dooors for us that we could never have opened without him.
Until ALL have heard, Jim
I got caught up your blog today and I love reading all about the things you guys are doing. The kids and I went swimming with Sara Jo and your grandkids this week and the kids had a really good time. JD is walking everywhere and my little Spencer will not let go of anything to take a step. He is a little scardie cat!!!! I can’t stop thinking about some of Teresa’s post but the one where Gracie and Anna were painting fingernails was really special to me. That was so great. Mandy is finally in Japan and loving it. I miss her but I thank you for nuturing her seed that was planted in her heart. I love talking to her on skype and reading about her adventures. Still Praying- The Maxwell Family

Jim and Teresa,
I find myself sitting here right now on the verge of an emotional breakdown. I miss you guys so much!! I miss the talks and the advice I used to get from you. I find myself to be so jealous of you and the girls. Not jealous of the beauty that you see every day there, or the lives that you change on a daily basis there, not because you are literally changing an entire nation one person at a time. Don’t get me wrong all of those things are so awesome!! But I am jealous for no other reason than you know what your ministry looks like. You can see it, you can touch it, you live it every day. Praise God for your willingness to chase God every day, even to the mountains of Africa. I pray for you daily, think about you more than that. I miss you so much!! Jim, I miss our talks and your advice. Teresa, I miss my second mom. I love you guys. — Brandon
PS: Kaleb is getting so big, he has started to pray before meals and he is an awesome big brother. Kayleigh is 5 months old now and on the verge of crawling. I hope I can raise my kids as well as you have raised and are raising yours. Stephanie, the kids and I are all doing well.
